Hi! Welcome to Idle Nook Horse Camp LLC! Our camp offers a peaceful setting that is nestled at the base of Buck Knob Mountain in the beautiful Ouachita National Forest. We are conveniently located about 8.5 miles east of the Hwy 270/71 Junction at Y-City, Arkansas. It’s paved road all the way to our driveway, but once you pull in, you don’t even see the highway!

We have 22 sites complete with water and 30 amp electric hookups at each site. On two of those sites, we also have an additional 50 amp plug for the larger rvs. The majority of our stalls are covered so you can rest easy that your four legged friends are out of the weather! For those of you without sleeping quarters, we have two bunkhouses available. (One with 2 twin beds and the other with a queen size bed and bathroom) We also have a brand new, log-sided enclosed pavillion that has a couple of clean, modern bathrooms and showers. There is also a complete kitchen for your use. (If Jack’s there, he loves shrimp! lol!) It makes for a wonderful gathering place to eat, visit and even karaoke at night! (Did I mention the dance floor?) Ice is available for purchase!

Now, let’s get to the good part!!! From our campground, you can access the Fourche Mountain Horse Trails (Formerly Mill Creek Equestrian Trails). As of this posting, we have over 130+ miles of marked trails. Our trails are marked with colored ribbon and maps are provided! There is easily over a weeks worth of trail riding available plus some!

Please call ahead for reservations to ensure you have a spot available!

Scott County is a dry county. The nearest liquor store is 42 miles east on Hwy 270.

Negative Coggins is Required!
